Peanut Butter, Please

Raise your hand if you like peanut butter!! That would be two hands up for me. Raise your hand if you like to be healthy but not have to eat hippie health food! This girl right here. I am so excited to tell you guys that I made homemade peanut butter and it wasn’t hard, it didn’t require a weirdy ingredient that no one has heard of, and it tastes AWESOME. It was also very relaxing and therapeutic. I don’t try to understand what goes on in my brain. I also never realized that you can make peanut butter with just… peanuts. I always figured you had to do something special or that there was a crazy, magical ingredient that made it so irresistible. I was sadly mistaken and I’m sad that I’ve spent the last 17 years of my life eating poop peanut butter (aka store-bought). If you look at the label on the peanut butter in your pantry it probably has more than one ingredient which seems pretty… nutty to me. I’ve got peanut butter AND puns ladies and gentlemen. You can find the simple, delicious recipe here.

Here’s the finished product!

I’m telling you it’s so worth it. I’m planning on making Nutella next. Lord help us all.

I have a serious, mind boggling question for you. Why is it that when you are trying to eat healthy (so you don’t look like you’re a hibernating polar bear when bikini time comes around) that your brain insists on thinking of all of the most delicious, chocolatey, fattening food in the universe? WHY?!??! (And by you, I mean me) I was doing great until I saw a brownie recipe on a blog I follow. I quickly tried to scroll down, pretending that I didn’t see it and that it looked gross. But it was too late. My brain saw it and it was all downhill from there. But I didn’t come home and eat an entire bowl of brownie batter like I so so wanted to. Instead I ate an apple and it was awful because it didn’t taste like brownies. If you happen to have an answer to that question I would love you forever.

Spring break is coming soon!! Only 41 days of school left. Not that I’m counting. I overheard some other tired, wistful senior say it today. I’m so not counting because I love Calc and Physics so much I don’t ever want it to end.

Last thing, I have been listening to this song over and over and over and over because it makes me realize how awesome God is. And how much I love David Crowder’s voice. That guy can jam. Go listen to it. I would it love if of you did.

Have a great day tomorrow! The weather is supposed to be AMAZING. Go for a walk, a run, a picnic, or just sit outside enjoying all that you’ve been given. I bet there’s more than you think. Like the fact that we get to enjoy sunsets like these everyday. IMG_1709

Love ya.

P.S. I found another way to each Cuties. With Nutella. Kill me now.

P.P.S. I started watching the Swiss Family Robinson today and I forgot how much I LOVE that movie. Love love love it. I just want to move to an undiscovered island and live in a giant (ridiculously awesome) treehouse and have a pet elephant.

P.P.P.S I wanted to share this verse with you guys because I love it and you. “You are blessed when you’re content with just who you are -no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves the proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.” Matthew 5:5. Amen to that.
